Don't worry; you can gradually build up to the swim volume within your workouts. Follow each session and the reduced sets/reps to a level manageable for you. Each week aim to get closer and closer to the written workouts. Over time the swim sets will build endurance and improve efficiency and performance. It is no problem to scale up to them gradually.
New to Swimming?
If swimming is your "limiter" or you are inexperienced, consider scheduling a session or two with a poolside coach who can give you some key areas that you need to focus on. Alternatively, have someone video you for self-assessment. Developing your stroke with proper technique early in training will pay dividends later.
