Exporting Workouts to Your Device
MyProCoach structured workouts can be exported from TrainingPeaks, but export options depend on the type of intensity target used in the Workout Builder.
Bike workouts use % of Functional Threshold Power (FTP).
Run workouts use % of Threshold Run Pace.
Because of this, structured exports for Heart Rate are not currently supported in TrainingPeaks.
Using Heart Rate Instead
If you want to follow workouts by heart rate:
You’ll need to manually recreate the structured workout in TrainingPeaks using heart rate zones.
Use the session description and your Training Zones Table as a guide.
Effective Training
You can still train effectively using Heart Rate or RPE, although you cannot export the workouts to heart rate-only devices.
Keep in mind that heart rate reacts slowly to changes in effort. For example, your intensity can double instantly, but your heart rate may take 30 seconds or more to catch up. This makes heart rate less useful for short intervals.
Best for: steady-state and endurance sessions
Use RPE, power, or pace for: short or fast intervals
Tip: use heart rate mainly as a supplementary measure of intensity during intervals
