Garmin devices integrate smoothly with TrainingPeaks, allowing your planned and completed workouts to transfer between the two platforms. Once your accounts are connected, any workout you complete on your Garmin device will automatically appear in your TrainingPeaks calendar. Structured workouts created in TrainingPeaks can also be sent directly to your Garmin watch or bike computer.

Training Zones
For accurate pacing and intensity alerts, ensure your heart rate, pace or power zones on Garmin match the zones used in TrainingPeaks.
Example: Garmin Connect Zone Settings
You’ll need to add your training zones to Garmin Connect so they match the zones in your TrainingPeaks account. To check and update your Garmin zone settings:
Log into Garmin Connect.
Click the Device icon (top right) and choose Devices and Sync Status.
Select your device, then open User Settings.
Scroll to Heart Rate Zones and choose % of LT for both running and cycling.
Enter your Threshold Heart Rate from TrainingPeaks.
Add your Zone 1 lower value, then enter the upper limits for Zones 1–5 exactly as they appear in TrainingPeaks.
This ensures your Garmin training zones match your five TrainingPeaks zones.
Each time you complete a Fitness Test in your plan, be sure to check and update your device's Heart Rate and Power settings to avoid conflicting and confusing post-workout metrics! Remember to sync your device to Garmin Connect whenever you update your Training Zones.
