Meters or Yards
Phil's plans are used globally, and therefore cater for both metric and imperial units of measurement. The swim workouts are originally created in meters.
If you swim in a yard pool, you can set your TrainingPeaks settings to Imperial. In the heading of your planned workout, you will see a slightly longer distance represented as yards (1 meter = 1.094 yards). It won't match the total distance in the description.
All swim sets are structured to compensate for the meter/yard difference. You will be well prepared for your race distance.
Following your Workout
For all swims (whether in a yard or meter pool), follow the distances as outlined in the written 'Workout Description' section:
Workout Duration
The workout duration is a guide as to how long the session should take, based on your Critical Swim Speed (as entered in your TrainingPeaks settings). Don't worry too much about how long the workout takes you, just follow the written distance guidelines.
Yards/Meters
If you do want to see your swim workout represented in meters, there are also yard/meter buttons you can toggle in the Workout Details section to view your target paces:
