Swim Distances: Meters vs Yards
MyProCoach plans are used worldwide, so swim workouts support both meters and yards. All swim sessions are originally written in meters.
Swimming in a Yard Pool
If you swim in a yard pool, set your TrainingPeaks units to Imperial.
TrainingPeaks will show a slightly longer total distance in yards
This is normal — 1 meter = 1.094 yards
The total distance shown may not exactly match the written description
All swim sets are structured to account for the meter/yard difference, so you’ll still be correctly prepared for your race distance.
How to Follow Your Swim Workout
No matter which pool you use:
Always follow the distances in the written Workout Description
The description is the primary guide for your session

Workout Duration
The planned duration is an estimate, based on your Critical Swim Speed (CSS) in TrainingPeaks.
Use it as a guide only
Focus on completing the written distances, not the total time
Viewing Meters or Yards
If you want to switch how distances and paces are displayed:
Use the Meters / Yards toggle in the Workout Details section
This lets you view target paces in your preferred units
