Adjust Your Training Plan for a New Race Date
Phil's Training Plans are designed to start on a Monday and end on the Sunday closest to your race date. If your race date changes, you can easily reapply your plan in TrainingPeaks so it’s properly structured to help you peak for race day.
Adjust the Longest Workouts to fall on Saturday/Sunday
If your plan appears misaligned (for example, if long workouts fall midweek), you may need to adjust your plan’s start or end date to fit your schedule.

Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Log in to your TrainingPeaks account (Calendar View)
- Click on the Training Plan Library icon (it resembles a binder and is located on the left side of the Calendar screen).
- Click on your training plan to open the pop-up box. The plan will display as "Applied Plans" along with a date range.
- If the start date isn’t a Monday or the end date doesn’t align with the nearest Sunday to your race date, click Remove.
- Reapply the plan, ensuring it ends on your race date (or the closest Sunday).
