Getting Started: Apply Your Plan & Sync Your Device
To begin your training smoothly, start by applying your plan to your TrainingPeaks calendar (check out Phil's short video below). Then, sync your device so your planned workouts appear automatically and your completed sessions upload effortlessly.
How to Sync Your Device
1. Connect Your Device to a Compatible App
Make sure your device (GPS watch, bike computer, heart rate monitor, etc.) is paired with an app that syncs to TrainingPeaks. TrainingPeaks supports 100+ devices—including Garmin, Wahoo, Suunto, Fitbit and many more. Check the TrainingPeaks device compatibility list if you're unsure.
2. Log In to TrainingPeaks
Open the TrainingPeaks website or app and sign in.
3. Link Your Device
Go to Settings → Connections / App Integrations.
Select your device brand (e.g., Garmin, Suunto, Wahoo) and follow the prompts to link it to TrainingPeaks.
4. Sync Your Device
Once linked, your:
Planned workouts will appear automatically on your device
Completed workouts will sync back to TrainingPeaks
You can manually sync by opening the companion app and selecting “Sync Now.”
