Why Your TrainingPeaks Workout Shows Two Sets of Instructions
It’s normal to see two instruction sections in your TrainingPeaks workout. Each one has a different purpose.
1. Description (Coach Instructions)
Written by Phil
Explains the purpose and focus of the session
Helps you understand how to approach the workout (effort, form, mindset)
Always read this section first
2. Details (Auto-Generated Targets)
Created automatically by TrainingPeaks
Uses your personal thresholds (FTP, Threshold Run Pace, etc.)
Shows the exact target intensities for each interval
These targets are what export to your watch or bike computer
